Cinephile Paradiso is a monthly event that celebrates classic cinema on the big screen.
We invite all dedicated cinephiles and anyone who has an interest in film or going to the pictures. Everyone is welcome. We aim to encourage the discussion of cinema, to ask questions like, what is cinema? What do films mean to us, and how has this changed over time?
MIKEY.
A Filmmaker and Writer from Dublin, based in Galway. He is currently in the process of writing a short film and production will begin soon. He is an avid lover of film, some of his favourite childhood moments were spent in the cinema. He loves Westerns and Hitchcock thrillers… and The Muppets.
HOLLY.
A Screenwriter and Podcaster from Cork, based in Galway. She currently works for the Galway Film Fleadh and Ardán. She is a passionate cinephile and loves all types of film from 1940s sci-fi to classic murder mysteries … and anything Scooby Doo. She is excited to see some of her favourite films on the big screen.
