With the Mafia hot on their tails, they disguise themselves as members of an all-female jazz band. While Joe pretends to be a millionaire to win the band’s lead singer, Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), Jerry finds himself pursued by a real millionaire (Joe E. Brown) as things heat up and the mobsters come close to catching them… As well as being a romantic comedy, a crime caper, and a musical, the film was radical for its time as it poked fun at traditional manliness, depicted female sexual liberation and raised questions regarding sexuality. 64 years later it still remains a classic and one of the greatest comedies ever made.
